About this work: The final painting is accidentally similar to a Game of Thrones Dragon. I am among the minority of the population that has never watched an episode. Ultimately the work is probably about the power of the individual to create positive change by harnessing their emotions.

The imagery in the under-painting is developed from current affairs audio broadcasts, and the slam poetry connected the storyline later – so in a sense, they are unrelated. The work is spontaneous and unplanned, meaning the art takes whichever direction it takes, and while the artwork was in production I had no idea where it was heading. So my surprise at the reveal is the same as yours.
