This is a pastel painting based upon a photograph taken from the top deck of a 168 bus as we passed through Camden, home of the famous canal lock and market, on the way to Hampstead Heath and the incomparable Kenwood House. It was a lovely sunny day and I wanted to capture a moment in a bustling London street with all its human interest and stories. The ‘preacher’ and his two followers handing out the leaflets and the artist at work.
